Job summary

Spencers Recruitment partners with a North West London building surveying practice reopening its valuations department. We seek a Chartered Surveyor (Valuation) / MRICS to lead and develop this area of the business.

This role focuses on Red Book valuations for loan security, acquisition, probate, and taxation, while managing client relationships and ensuring RICS compliance. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• MRICS Registered Valuer status is essential.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification valuation experience.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial valuations.
• Strong technical understanding of Red Book standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Red Book valuations for loan security, acquisition, probate, and taxation.
• Manage and develop the valuation department, ensuring compliance with RICS and internal quality standards.
• Maintain and build relationships with clients, lenders, and solicitors.
• Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely valuation reports.
• Keep abreast of market trends and comparable evidence to support valuations.
