Job description

Are you an ambitious and creative UX Designer with a sharp eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and a passion for crafting intuitive, user-first digital experiences?

At Scott Logic, we design and build complex, bespoke, business-critical systems for some of the world’s leading organisations. Design is at the heart of how we deliver impactful software — and as our business grows, we’re looking for experienced, self-motivated UX Designers to join our team.

You’ll be a confident and capable UX generalist, comfortable shaping end-to-end user experiences and producing high-quality interface designs. You’ll lead design efforts throughout the project lifecycle — from structure and interaction design through to polished UI — collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

We value strong communicators who can influence and inspire clients, advocating for thoughtful, evidence-based design. You’ll work closely with clients and end-users, as well as our talented developers and testers, to deliver accessible, elegant, and effective solutions.

Experience in the public sector and familiarity with service design principles (such as GDS) are desirable.

You should have experience with
  • UX design, gained in either in-house or consultancy environments
  • A track record of design leadership across teams, culture, and project delivery
  • Broad capability across UX and UI — from layout and flows to visual design and interactions
  • Experience designing enterprise-grade applications for web, mobile, or desktop
  • A problem-solving mindset, with a passion for simplifying the complex
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and working in iterative cycles
  • Hands-on experience with key techniques such as journey mapping, design studio workshops, and empathy mapping
  • Fluency in design tooling — from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
  • A curious, adaptable approach and a willingness to learn

We are mindful of the imbalances in our sector. We celebrate multiple and varied approaches and points of view. We believe diversity drives innovation and we commit to maintaining and improving an open and creative workplace, where everyone can contribute irrespective of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.
