Job summary

Stantec in Scotland seeks a Principal Urban Drainage Modeller to lead major UK urban drainage programmes from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness, delivering complex projects with technical excellence. You will provide technical leadership, oversee project planning, governance and QA, mentor engineers and help win new work through bids and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience leading major urban drainage modelling projects.
• Expert knowledge of InfoWorks ICM.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and governance.
• Experience managing, mentoring and developing technical teams.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting bids, project planning and commercial delivery.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution such as CIWEM or ICE.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across major programmes and ensure delivery of complex urban drainage projects.
• Oversee project planning, technical governance, QA and programme delivery.
• Mentor engineers and modellers and contribute to bids and business development.
