Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a talented Integration Team Lead to manage the assembly, testing and commissioning of remotely operated underwater robotics systems at our Fareham site. You will ensure work aligns with configuration documents and delivery schedules while upholding the highest quality standards.

You will lead a production-focused team, drive training to meet customer specs, and coordinate with other departments to achieve project milestones.

Qualifications

Previous team leadership experience is essential.
Ability to lead a fast-paced production area and meet deadlines.
Minimum HNC/HND qualification, preferably in Electronics.
Good knowledge of fibre optic termination, equipment and testing.

Responsibilities

Lead the Integration Engineering team in the assembly, testing and commissioning.
Ensure training to integrate assemblies and sub-assemblies to customer specifications and in accordance with company documentation.
Support offsite commissioning and customer support as required by the company or by customer.
Lead the team in fault finding and repair, reporting issues in the appropriate format.
Interpret designs, engineering information and electrical drawings to assemble and test working assemblies and prototypes.
Appropriate use of all relevant IT and other systems required to perform the role.
Complying with 6S best practice and health and safety policies.
To maintain a professional and supportive relationship with other departments to deliver objectives or deadlines.
Carry out any other duties as detailed by the Engineering Manager or its authorised representative.
