Job summary

Hutch, a mobile games developer in London, seeks a Lead UI Artist to own and deliver visually impressive UI for free-to-play titles. You will lead the UI team, collaborating with UX, Art Director and Design to translate requirements into sleek user interfaces.

Strong UI art leadership, design systems experience and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential. The role is based in London with in-office collaboration and flexible practices.

Qualifications

• Proven UI art leadership experience within games, across multiple titles.
• Strong visual design skills demonstrated in portfolio.
• Experience creating and evolving a design system for digital products.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI team and collaborate with Art Direction, UX, Design and Product.
• Create and maintain style guides, asset language and project structure in Figma/Unity.
• Produce high quality UI artwork and source assets matching the game's visual style.
• Maintain design system and ensure visual consistency across the project.
• Mentor team members and guide career progression and improvements.
• Coordinate cross-team communications and stakeholder expectations.
• Work with engineers to implement UI in Unity and stay updated on new tech.
