Job summary

A technology leader in unmanned systems is seeking a Senior or Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced control laws for UAS platforms. The role requires extensive experience in flight dynamics and expertise in modern control theory. Responsibilities include developing precision control strategies, creating aircraft models, and mentoring the engineering team. This position is critical for driving innovation and safety in aerospace applications, and offers a competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years (Senior) or 12+ years (Principal) in flight dynamics and control systems.
  • Deep understanding of control theory (LQR/LQC, Robust Control).
  • Experience in jitter compensation and LOS stabilization.
  • UK national eligible for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-precision control strategies for gimballed payloads.
  • Design, implement, and tune advanced control algorithms for autonomous flight.
  • Create high-fidelity aircraft models for control performance validation.
  • Lead the control systems strategy and mentor the engineering team.
