ABOUT THE TEAM

The Treasury team acts as 1st LoD and is at the forefront of driving financial excellence and supporting strategic growth. The Treasury team mission is to optimise the company's financial resources and investment, manage financial risks, ensure robust liquidity and effective cash management and comprehensive treasury operations.

Moreover the team collaborates closely with the product and business team to align financial strategies with business objectives. By contributing to impactful financial decisions, the Treasury team aims to enable sustainable success and growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Lead of Treasury Planning and Strategy, you will play a crucial role in the team to maintain our financial health, ensure efficient liquidity and capital utilisation, and drive our growth. Your responsibilities will include:

Liquidity & Capital Management

  1. Own short- and long-term liquidity and capital planning across multiple entities, currencies, and business lines.
  2. Optimise internal capital usage and drive strategic liquidity initiatives in line with the company growth models.
  3. Partner with FP&A and Risk to build resilient capital structures that support regulatory and operational needs.

Cash Monitoring & Forecasting

  1. Manage daily global cash positioning and weekly forecasting
  2. Leverage analytics to enhance cash utilization and ensure funding efficiency across payment rails and customer flows.
  3. Provide insights on idle cash, sweep structures, and optimisation opportunities.
  4. Develop and maintain cash flow models that support product expansion and business planning.
  5. Track and report on key balance sheet indicators including burn rates, liquidity coverage, leverage ratio and funding gaps.
  6. Monitor, assess, and manage FX and interest rate exposures across a multi-currency ecosystem.
  7. Implement and oversee hedging strategies and policies in line with fintech-specific risk profiles.
  8. Liaise with banking and trading partners to optimise execution and reporting.

Business Support, Flow of Funds Structuring and New Product Review

  1. Work closely with Product Managers (e.g. Payments, Lending etc) to structure efficient flow of funds mechanisms across new and existing offerings.
  2. Provide treasury input into risk assessments for new launches—covering liquidity, funding, currency risk, and treasury ops implications.
  3. Act as the treasury voice in cross-functional product development squads.

Policy Ownership & Governance

  1. Develop and maintain robust treasury policies for liquidity, FX, interest rate risk, and capital management.
  2. Ensure fintech treasury processes align with regulatory standards and internal control frameworks.

Corporate Debt & Intra-Group Funding

  1. Support analysis and execution of debt financing strategies to fund growth and strategic initiatives.
  2. Manage intra-group funding arrangements including pricing, documentation, and tracking.

Ad-Hoc Strategic Analysis

  1. Conduct high-impact, time-sensitive analysis to support strategic decisions from leadership.
  2. Prepare insights and recommendations for risk committees, board presentations, and external stakeholders.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Tide is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead of Treasury Planning and Strategy. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience (9+ years) in Treasury, within liquidity and capital management
  2. Prior experience in financial services – preferably in technology-driven & scale-up environments preferred
  3. Strong knowledge of cash forecasting, capital management and related regulatory requirements
  4. Experience managing and leading teams - ideally across multiple locations
  5. Self-starter, independent and extreme ownership mentality
  6. Experience overseeing controls and mitigating financial risks
  7. Experience utilising BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc) is desirable
  8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
