Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Transplant Anaesthesia to join Addenbrooke's Hospital. The post covers a busy 24/7 transplant service with a dedicated rota and opportunities for involvement in research.

The successful candidate must be GMC registered and on the Specialist Register (or within six months of CCT). Non-UK applicants should have IELTS/OET.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and eligibility to practice in the UK.
• On Specialist Registrar/Consultant level or within 6 months of CCT at interview.
• Ability to work in a high-volume transplant anaesthesia service.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 12 Transplant Anaesthetists on a 24/7 transplant on-call rota.
• Provide anaesthetic services for liver, multivisceral, pancreas and kidney transplants with involvement in related subspecialties.
• Contribute to research projects on organ optimisation and participate in teaching and training within Addenbrooke's Hospital.
