Job summary

A progressive training provider is looking for a Lead Agricultural Trainer to guide a team of trainers in delivering high-quality apprenticeship programs. In this field/home-based role, you'll manage training delivery and support apprentices in achieving their goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching agriculture at Levels 3 and 4, along with strong leadership skills. A competitive salary along with flexible working options is offered.

Overview

As our Lead Agricultural Trainer, you'll guide and inspire a team of trainers, ensuring high-quality apprenticeship delivery and supporting learners to achieve their full potential. This is a field/home-based role and a fantastic opportunity to use your industry expertise to make a real impact.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Level 2, 3, and 4 apprenticeships in agriculture, including farm management and livestock programs.
  • Lead and manage a team of trainers, overseeing performance, approving holidays, pay claims, and supporting professional development.
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and compliance.
  • Carry your own reduced caseload of apprentices, delivering a blended learning program that develops knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
  • Support apprentices in Maths, English, and additional learning support as required.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Line manage trainers, ensuring effective delivery and personal development.
  • Plan and deliver engaging apprenticeship programs for Levels 2-4.
  • Conduct assessments, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support apprentices in preparation for end-point assessments.
  • Contribute to expanding apprenticeship provision within the agricultural sector.
Requirements
  • Experience teaching Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships in agriculture.
  • Strong line management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding practices, including Prevent guidance.
  • Ability to travel as required. Ideally you will be located in the South of England or the Midlands area, however for the right person we would consider candidates who live in other locations.
