As the Lead Trading Administrator at Sainsbury's, your role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our trading activities and providing crucial support to our category teams. You will have the responsibility of managing and leading a team of talented Trading Administrators, overseeing workload management, and ensuring a balanced distribution of work. Collaborating with the Lead Trading Administrator of another Food Business Unit, you will effectively manage workload across units, working closely with Process Owners and Coordinators in the Commercial Operations team. Your coordination efforts will provide visibility of future demand for business process outsourcing activities and identify areas for improvement within the operation. When urgent changes to our systems are required, you will take the initiative to make those changes to maintain the seamless operation of our stores and enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

You will also provide vital assistance to our buyers by performing various trading administration tasks, such as clearance plans, data input, support for promotional plans and range changes, and handling POS requests.

Overseeing and managing category‑specific trading systems and processes, outside the scope of outsourcing, will also be part of your responsibilities. This will involve collaborating with external digital media agencies, organising product photography shoots, supporting digital trading teams, and managing system changes.

Your strong analytical skills will help you identify improvement opportunities and make data‑driven decisions. Effective communication and proficiency in MS Office will be essential in facilitating collaboration and reporting.

Your collaborative approach extends to coordinating with the Lead Trading Administrator of the other Food Business Unit, allowing for effective workload management across both units. Your ability to navigate complex processes and systems is evident as you work closely with Process Owners and Coordinators to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal performance in our business process outsourcing operations.

Your versatility shines through as you take initiative in making urgent system changes to ensure seamless store operations and an exceptional customer experience. Your analytical mindset, combined with your experience in various trading administration activities, empowers you to assist buyers in clearance plans, data input, promotion support, range changes, and POS requests.

Your proficiency in managing category‑specific trading systems and external agencies, as well as your ability to identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis, make you a valuable asset in driving success in our trading operations.
