Overview

You will lead an established team of programmers developing tools and technologies for performance analysis, including future development of Unreal Insights and other profiling products used daily by Epic Games and its licensees. We are pushing the boundaries of our existing Unreal Engine tooling and this is an exciting opportunity to join this effort. You will help our teams to extend our profiling tools and expand our user base as we meet the challenges of developing new products for the metaverse. In this role, you will

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to develop and deliver new features
• Be a vision holder for our medium and long term profiling tools strategy
• Work closely with game teams and licensees to gather and satisfy stakeholder's requirements
• Actively contribute to the codebase, troubleshoot issues, ensure their timely resolution
• Plan, schedule and prioritise work with your team, identify risks and determine mitigations

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an engineering team
• Experienced C++ engineering skills
• Working experience and familiarity with modern profiling tools
• Demonstrates a passion for improving developer workflows and user experience
• Experience working with large datasets and processing information efficiently
• Proven ability to communicate progress, present plans and deliver documents to stakeholders
• A good team player, collaborator and mentor to our engineering team
• Ability to drive forward long term development goals whilst delivering on short term wins and holding a team accountable for their output
• Ability to work cross-organisation, network, build relationships and coordinate with other teams
