Job summary
Advanced Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Thin Film Engineer to join a leading optoelectronics provider in the UK. You will lead a busy Thin Film and Coatings department, overseeing vacuum deposition, coating and imaging of ceramic microcircuits, and drive process development and customer reviews.
The role requires hands-on expertise in sputter deposition, plasma etching, photolithography, chemical etching and electroplating, with responsibility for the production team, equipment
Qualifications
- Significant industrial expertise in a related technology and role.
- Knowledge of end user requirements for miniature components for mounting Laser Diodes, Photo Diodes, Microwave diodes, micro interconnects, CCD sensors, optical alignment, etc.
- Ideally you will have achieved a Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Thin Film production department and team.
- Involve in customer design reviews, process development, equipment support and maintenance, and documentation generation.
- Engage with customers and suppliers to ensure products meet requirements.
- Work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure products meet the customer requirements.
