Job summary

The Christie in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Radiographer to join our Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) team. You will lead a busy gantry service, supervise staff, and work within a multidisciplinary clinical environment with rigorous quality standards.

HCPC registration is essential and experience with PBT is highly valued. We offer an excellent induction and ongoing education, with opportunities to develop through the Proton School and associated training programmes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• BSc/Hons/PGDip in Therapeutic Radiography required.
• Experience with radiotherapy equipment and techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and supervise staff operating radiotherapy equipment.
• Safely operate radiotherapy and imaging equipment and report faults.
• Position patients and verify treatment delivery across the radiotherapy pathway.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with policies and procedures.
• Participate in shift work, including weekends and on-call duties.
• Participate in audit, research and development of new techniques.
