Job summary

Octagon Group in London is seeking a Test & Integration Manager to lead the integration and industrialisation of electro-optical systems. You will coordinate R&D interfaces with production to ensure robust validation and scalable manufacturing readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with automated test systems, NPI delivery, and strong leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams in high-precision environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with optical communications, photonics, or electronic hardware systems.
• Background in production test environments and automated test solutions.
• Hands-on use of LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python for hardware testing.
• Proven delivery of NPI into high-precision manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead test integration and industrialisation of electro-optical systems and photonics-based products.
• Design and deploy automated test systems and production test benches.
• Drive NPI activities from prototype through to production release.
• Manage CAPEX, test equipment, and manufacturing test infrastructure.
• Improve manufacturing KPIs including yield, throughput, and reliability.
• Lead PFMEA, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams.
