Job summary

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology seeks a Lead Test Engineer to join the Final Test Team at our Bristol site. You will lead the testing of complex electro-mechanical systems, drive quality improvements, and support customer acceptance activities.

Mentoring is a key responsibility, with emphasis on process improvements and collaboration across departments. You will oversee testing to ensure compliance with procedures, work with FRACAS fault reporting, and deputise for the Test Team Leader when

Qualifications

• Experience leading the testing of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Track record mentoring and developing others in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, data-driven approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the testing and validation of complex electro-mechanical systems to meet quality, performance, and delivery targets.
• Ensure testing activities comply with approved procedures and documentation standards.
• Act as technical lead within the Test Team and support colleagues.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
• Capture, analyse, and resolve product issues using FRACAS and reporting systems.
