EQUANS are looking for a Lead Technical Operative – Mechanical to be based in Manchester our HMCTS contract. This will mainly be based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The primary purpose of the role is to be the site lead on all aspects of the Building services systems at Manchester CJC, directly supervising the ongoing planned and reactive works across the site. To carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical Buildings Services Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equans processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Lead Engineer - Mechanical who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor’s, producing high quality reports on their findings and work. The role will involve being the face of Equans. Smart appearance, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential for the role.
The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find and diagnose and rectify complex Mechanical faults and issues unaided.
Have an excellent knowledge of Mechanical systems, components and the impact of faults on building users.
To plan and oversee Mechanical plant isolation and shut downs for maintenance, inspection or remedial works.
5 – 10 years relevant experience working in a similar high demanding role.
