Are you an experienced Lead Technical Artist with a strong grasp of Unity, a sharp visual sensibility, and a passion for mobile games?
A well-established and award-winning mobile games studio is looking for a Unity-focused Lead Technical Artist to help ensure a high standard of polish and performance across its mobile titles played by millions of users globally.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the connection between game artists and programmers, building and maintaining the Unity layer that powers the visual side of multiple titles
- Constructing games using Unity and Unity UI, following the studio's established technical workflows
- Writing custom C# components when needed to manage complex or interactive visual elements
- Optimising games to ensure high performance across a broad range of mobile devices
- Creating particle effects, shaders, and animations to support game features
- Supporting and mentoring artists with technical issues and best practices
- Contributing to the technical design of visual pipelines and sharing knowledge across teams
What we're looking for:- Proven experience as a Lead Technical Artist in the mobile games industry
- Advanced knowledge of Unity, with particular focus on Unity UI and its implementation at scale
- Understanding of how to build modular and scalable Unity architecture for multi-disciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency in writing clean, efficient C# scripts when needed
- A proactive mindset when it comes to improving workflows and optimising assets
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to visual detail
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both artists and developers
- Fluent professional English
- A short home-based technical art test may be requested as part of the interview process
