Ormiston SWB Academy are looking to appoint a Lead Teacher - SEND (English or Science specialism) to deliver outstanding provision to our students. The successful post holder will need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach and be committed to making a difference.

It is an exciting time for Ormiston SWB Academy. For the first time in our history, we have been recognised as a ‘Good’ provider by Ofsted and under new leadership, our inclusive, over-subscribed Academy aims to progress further.

Our recent staff survey rates the academy;

  • 45% higher than national benchmarks for staff feeling behaviour is good
  • 36% higher than national benchmarks for staff feeling the school having a culture that encourages calm and orderly conduct
  • 32% higher than national benchmarks for staff feeling the school is well led and managed
  • 39% higher than national benchmarks for staff feeling that the school leadership consults with staff when introducing major change
