Job Description:

Axcis Education is working closely with a special school seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher to lead the Science curriculum starting September 2024. The successful candidate will join a thriving team and possess the knowledge, skills, and creativity to be an outstanding teacher. A genuine passion for enhancing the learning and life chances of SEND students through science is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Work within the Science department to raise student achievement.
  2. Contribute to the development of the department.
  3. Teach the Science curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4 up to GCSE level.
  4. Support enrichment and intervention initiatives within the department.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Two professional references
  • DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Right to Work in the UK
