Job summary

E&E Group in Portsmouth is seeking a Tanker Driver to join our team. Drive vacuum tankers and carry out pumping, servicing, repair and cleaning of tanks, bilges, compartments and ship systems.

You will lead and organise staff on projects, ensure all work meets quality standards and customer expectations, complete documentation with customer sign-offs, and maintain high cleanliness on site. The role may include high-pressure jet washing, confined space work and fire watch duties when required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ship systems is preferable.
• Experience operating vacuum tankers, pressure washers and pumping systems with practical skills.
• Confined space working, MAR pack procedures and tank/bilge cleaning standards.
• Understanding of survey, hot work and preservation cleaning requirements.
• Holds a valid HGV licence, ADR (if applicable) and CPC.
• Strong team player with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Reliable, safety focused and able to maintain attention to detail under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive vacuum tankers and carry out pumping, servicing, repair and cleaning of tanks, bilges, compartments and ship systems.
• Lead and organise staff on projects, ensuring all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
• Complete all documentation accurately, including customer sign offs and maintain high cleanliness standards on customer sites.
• Undertake specialist cleaning, high pressure jet washing, confined space work and fire sentry duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with waste management regulations, tanker driver regulations, PPE requirements and all Health & Safety procedures.
• Liaise with customers, support service engineers and uphold Marlin Environmental Services’ standards at all times.
