Job Description:

Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer to join a new department focused on developing Synthetics, Digital Products, and Services that will transform the UK division's operations.

Role: Synthetics Design Lead

The successful candidate will lead the design of Synthetics capabilities across the Electronics Division in the UK, influencing designs and rapidly developing capabilities using their expertise in synthetics systems, processes, methodologies, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design of Synthetics capabilities for the UK Electronics Division.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design implications and facilitate implementation.
3. Coordinate with other Digital Products and Services Systems Leads to develop capabilities and prepare for future products, reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer.
4. Build relationships with synthetics providers and assess potential partners.
5. Lead design reviews and ensure delivery of mature designs.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Strong understanding of tools, methodologies, and processes in the synthetics domain.
2. Experience delivering synthetics-centric solutions under time constraints.
3. Ability to communicate complex designs effectively to diverse stakeholders.
4. Good systems thinking skills and experience managing complex problems with varied stakeholders.
5. Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex projects.
6. Experience managing conflicting priorities and stakeholder needs.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to obtain SC or higher clearance for UK programs.
9. Degree or equivalent in Systems, Software, Mathematics, or related STEM field.

Additional desirable skills include understanding future synthetics technologies, UK MOD policies, Agile experience, and requirements definition.
