Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer to join a new department focused on developing Synthetics, Digital Products, and Services that will transform our UK division's operations.

Position: Synthetics Design Lead

The successful candidate will take a leadership role in creating detailed designs and operations for the Synthetics capability across the Electronics Division in the UK, influencing Synthetics designs throughout UK Divisions.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design of Synthetics capabilities for the Electronics Division in the UK.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design implications and facilitate implementation.
3. Coordinate with other Digital Products and Services Leads to develop capabilities and prepare for future products, reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer.
4. Develop relationships with synthetics providers and assess potential partners.
5. Lead design reviews and ensure mature delivery of designs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong understanding of tools, methodologies, and processes in the synthetics domain.
• Experience delivering synthetics-centric solutions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate complex designs effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Good systems thinking skills and experience managing complex problems involving multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing conflicting priorities and stakeholder needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to obtain SC or higher UK security clearance.
• Degree or equivalent in Systems, Software, Mathematics, or related STEM field.

Additional Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of future trends in synthetics technologies.
• Knowledge of UK MOD policies related to synthetics.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
