Reporting to the Head of IT and Cyber Security, the Lead Systems Administrator oversees the day-to-day delivery of the Group IT function, ensuring high-quality support, system availability, and secure infrastructure operations. Combining technical expertise with leadership, you’ll manage and mentor a small team, triage workloads, and act as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The role includes hands-on 2nd/3rd-line support across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, networking, AWS, and identity services, while driving SLA compliance, process improvements, and a proactive, customer-focused culture.
You’ll bring at least three years’ experience in IT support or systems administration, with strong skills in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows endpoints, and hands-on AWS operations. You have a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams, balancing competing priorities, and confidently communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable with automation tooling, scripting, and onboarding workflows, you’re also familiar with frameworks like ITIL, ISO 27001, or Cyber Essentials. Ideally, you’ll have exposure to cybersecurity tools, incident response, and service desk platforms such as Freshdesk or Freshservice, along with experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
