Description

Cintra, part of the PSSG, is a fast paced and fast-growing company with our award winning software providing payroll solutions for over 1500 clients. We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Systems Administrator to guide our IT team, tackle complex technical challenges, and ensure our systems run securely, smoothly, and at peak performance.

We strategically invest in our employees, giving our workforce the learning opportunities they need to keep moving forwards in their careers. We offer continuous employee training to keep knowledge fresh, skills sharp and develop confidence.

You can find our modern offices situated within Hoults Yard on the edge of the Ouseburn Valley with its flourishing creative networks, abundant local heritage and lively social scene. Hoults Yard is a vibrant community which includes quirky cafés, leisure facilities, and other local businesses.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Head of IT and Cyber Security, the Lead Systems Administrator oversees the day-to-day delivery of the Group IT function, ensuring high-quality support, system availability, and secure infrastructure operations. Combining technical expertise with leadership, you’ll manage and mentor a small team, triage workloads, and act as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The role includes hands-on 2nd/3rd-line support across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, networking, AWS, and identity services, while driving SLA compliance, process improvements, and a proactive, customer-focused culture.

About you

You’ll bring at least three years’ experience in IT support or systems administration, with strong skills in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows endpoints, and hands-on AWS operations. You have a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams, balancing competing priorities, and confidently communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable with automation tooling, scripting, and onboarding workflows, you’re also familiar with frameworks like ITIL, ISO 27001, or Cyber Essentials. Ideally, you’ll have exposure to cybersecurity tools, incident response, and service desk platforms such as Freshdesk or Freshservice, along with experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
