GLL is currently looking for a Lead Swimming Teacher based at Windrush Leisure Centre. Join us in playing a key role in developing our customers' swimming skills and the skills of your team of teachers. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people confidence in the water and teach an invaluable life skill.
As an experienced swimming teacher, you’ll support people in achieving their potential, considering each pupil’s nature and needs. A Lead Swimming Teacher will draw on their knowledge of practices, progression, and teaching points, applying it effectively while supporting and guiding your team of teachers. While some administration is involved, most of your time will be dedicated to teaching and leading your team to success.
We’re looking for approachable Lead Swimming Teachers with a friendly, patient nature to build trust, motivate pupils, and encourage them with praise. You’ll need to be STA Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualified, and ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches. Knowledge of health, safety, relevant legislation, and Child Protection Policy is essential.
