GLL is currently looking for Lead Swimming Teachers based at Helston. Join us as a Lead Swimming Teacher and play a key role in developing our customers' swimming skills, as well as your team of teachers. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people confidence in the water – an invaluable life skill.
As an experienced swimming teacher, you’ll support learners in achieving their potential by considering their individual needs. A Lead Swimming Teacher will draw on their knowledge of practices, progression, and teaching points, applying them effectively while supporting and guiding your team of teachers. While some administration is involved, most of your time will be dedicated to teaching and leading your team to success.
We’re looking for Lead Swimming Teachers who are approachable, friendly, and patient—able to build trust, motivate pupils, and encourage progress with praise. You’ll need to be STA Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualified, and ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches. Knowledge of health, safety, legislation, and Child Protection Policy is essential.
