Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy. You will support Business Units in meeting waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide specialist guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support risk management by defining and implementing environmental assurance and audit programs.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
  • Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for clients and contracts.
  • Review environmental aspects and impacts regularly, including climate change risks.
  • Embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles by supporting Bid, Design, and Operational Teams.
Who You Are:

You have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
  • ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
  • Proven experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
  • Track record of reducing environmental impact through product lifecycle management
  • Experience managing complex projects and change initiatives
  • Full driving license and flexibility for UK-wide travel
