Senior Environmental Advisor - Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will implement Telent's Sustainability Strategy, support Business Units in meeting waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel and is flexible in location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability compliance.
  • Support risk management with environmental assurance regimes and audit programs.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
  • Develop and maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports.
  • Conduct reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
  • Embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycle stages.
Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in environmental and sustainability roles within relevant industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Minimum Requirements:
  • PIEMA qualification
  • ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
  • Experience advising on sustainability and environmental issues in business operations
  • Proven track record in reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure
  • Experience managing complex technical projects and change initiatives
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
