Description

Lead Support Worker

Location: West Yorkshire - Supported Accommodations and Community services

Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hpw). Applications for part-time will be considered.

Salary: £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) [pro rata] with benefits including Health Cash Plan.

Our Central Resource Team ensures continuous support for our accommodations, covering staff leave, sickness, or recruitment.

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (Coordinator)

  • Create support plans with customers and coordinate a small team of Support Workers.
  • Assist customers with complex needs such as homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, and social isolation.
  • Support independent living, daily tasks, budgeting, health, and activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and reviews. Assist with tenancy setups and terminations.
  • Engage in casual chats and collaborate with colleagues.

You bring

  • Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives with attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating person-centered support plans and supporting colleagues.
  • Experience in assessing customer referrals.
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient.
  • A vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid).

Job details

  • 37.5 hours/week, with consideration for part-time applicants. Rota includes evenings and weekends.
  • Travel across West Yorkshire, including Huddersfield, Wakefield, and Leeds.
  • Flexible start/end times to meet customer needs.
  • Regular team meetings and training, with occasional lone working.
  • Use technology for support plans, online learning, and collaboration.
  • Enhanced DBS check required, paid for by us.
