Lead Support Worker

Location: Cheltenham

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), working on a rota

Pay: £13.21 per hour (£26,645 per annum) with great benefits including a Health Cash Plan

About the role

As our Lead Support Worker, you will support customers with complex needs to develop skills for independent living. You will create support plans, coordinate a team of Support Workers, and help customers achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement support plans with customers
  • Coordinate a small team of Support Workers
  • Assist customers with daily activities such as cooking, shopping, budgeting, and maintaining tenancies
  • Conduct risk assessments, support planning, and reviews
  • Build rapport through regular chats and catch-ups
Requirements
  • Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives
  • Experience in creating person-centred support plans
  • Experience in coordinating customer referrals
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient
  • Own vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid)
Additional information

Work pattern includes 5 days out of a 7-day rota, with flexibility required to meet customer needs. Training and team meetings are held regularly, and technology skills are necessary for creating support plans and online learning. An Enhanced DBS check is required, paid for by us.
