Main Duties of the Job

The End User Devices team are excited to offer this fixed term Lead Support Technician post. We are looking for a leader who understands what it means to deliver great customer service whilst also being able to get into the details of a technological solution.

You will be responsible for day to day management of Desktop support engineers providing hardware support to the Trust. You are also going to be a key liaison with various UHS Digital project and infrastructure teams ensuring future solutions are supported.

Job Description - Job Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading and supporting an operational support team ensuring operational effectiveness of the Trust's digital systems. Lead on day-to-day management of the team including resources, capacity planning, efficiencies, and incidents. Maintaining and coordinating a high standard of operational service delivery to the users ensuring continuity and achievement of KPIs.

The role will require you to be on-site at Southampton General Hospital at least 50% of your time.

  • Degree or post-graduate degree, or equivalent work experience relevant to the post
