Job summary

Testia Limited in Filton, Bristol is seeking a professional to lead test definition and execution for aeronautical structures. You will coordinate structural tests, data collection, and equipment calibration to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include budgeting, supplier engagement, and compliance with HS&E policies. Flexible hours, pension, private medical insurance and a discretionary bonus are offered. Start date January 2027.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related discipline (e.g. Aerospace, Structures, Materials, Physics).
• +5 years of experience in: Project management & delivery projects to time, cost, quality.
• Experience in structures or materials testing would be an advantage.
• Experience in managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility.

• Acquisition of physical data
• Test Reporting
• Regular reporting and stakeholder management of test customers, including arranging/chairing meetings
• Financial governance of test budget and allocation of test resource
• Securing adherence to the Structures Test Quality Process DE.PA.04.02 and respect of all suitable transnational processes, methods and tools
• Securing adherence to all HS&E policies
• Launch subcontracting activities following policy, managing purchasing and goods receipt
• Anticipate, identify and manage risks & opportunities
