Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead complex projects, shape technical direction and mentor the next generation of engineers.

The role requires Chartered status (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE), strong knowledge of UK design codes, and the ability to coordinate design teams, review calculations, reports and models from design through delivery.

Qualifications

• Chartered engineer with CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE status.
• Degree-qualified structural engineer with solid leadership experience.
• CSCS card and UK security clearance eligibility (SC).
• Full UK driving licence and track record in consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design teams and coordinate multi-package projects.
• Oversee project delivery, resources, programmes and budgets.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and digital models.
• Validate complex structural analysis and ensure buildable, coordinated designs.
• Contribute to fee proposals, tenders and technical scopes.
• Mentor engineers and develop team capabilities.
