Job summary

Concept Life Sciences is seeking a Principal Scientist in Structural Biology based in Edinburgh. You will lead client projects, deliver high-quality results, and shape service offerings using X‑ray Crystallography, Cryo‑EM and related structural biology techniques.

You will mentor colleagues, drive training, and introduce new technologies to enhance capabilities while collaborating with the PBSB team to meet client needs and scientific standards.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Structural Biology with hands-on X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-EM experience.
• Experience leading client or collaborative scientific projects with clear decision-making.
• Ability to mentor junior scientists and foster development.
• Comfort working in CRO/biotech/pharma or academic settings with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead client projects with high-quality delivery and scientific direction.
• Collaborate across the PBSB team and contribute expertise in X-ray Crystallography, Cryo-EM and structural biology.
• Mentor scientists, support training, and help adopt new technologies.
