Job summary
Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard seeks a Stress Engineer to lead a global team delivering galley interior modifications and certification-compliant structures. You will own stress analyses, sign off on substantiation, and collaborate with programme leaders to meet airworthiness requirements.
Candidates should have solid engineering/stress experience, a STEM degree, and familiarity with M1020 checks. This on-site role may involve occasional travel to support projects and customers.
Qualifications
- A STEM degree is highly desirable.
- FEM expert for static analysis for metallic and composite materials; model techniques and load-path considerations.
- Structural analysis expert in all classical static analysis.
- Candidates who have current or previously held M1020 Check and Approval signatories are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead a global team of engineers to deliver aircraft interior modifications.
- Own the engineering stress responsibility for galley upgrade projects and modifications.
- Lead design reviews, investigations, risk assessments, and certification documentation.
- Perform and approve structural assessments to ensure airworthiness and certification compliance.
- Develop substantiation reports and coordination with regulatory authorities.
