An exciting opportunity exists for Lead Casual Coaches with Leisure & Culture Dundee to deliver term-time sports programmes. Coaches are sought in Netball, Basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee to work with children and youth. This role requires solid coaching experience and flexibility for evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Practical coaching experience in Netball, Basketball, and/or Ultimate Frisbee.
  • Ability to deliver structured, developmentally appropriate sessions.
  • Willingness to join the PVG Scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of sports programmes in Ultimate Frisbee, Netball, and Basketball.
  • Adhere to Scottish Governing Body guidelines and participant ratios.

Active Dundee is seeking Lead Casual Coaches to deliver term-time programmes across Leisure & Culture Dundee facilities. We are looking for coaches in Netball, Basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee to work with participants from age 3 to adulthood.

Requirements
  • Netball: Community Coaching Award (Level 2)
  • Ultimate Frisbee: Level 2
  • Basketball: Level 2, SVQ, and/or NGB Level 2 Sports Coaching Award relevant to the sport applied for
Responsibilities

You will lead the delivery of sports programmes in Ultimate Frisbee, Netball, and Basketball, coaching individuals and groups, and adhering to Scottish Governing Body guidelines and participant ratios.

The Individual

The successful candidate will have practical coaching experience in Netball, Basketball, and/or Ultimate Frisbee, with a background working with children and young people of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Experience in planning and delivering structured, developmentally appropriate sessions is essential. Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is necessary. Membership or willingness to join the PVG Scheme is also required.
