Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team across North Yorkshire, Northallerton, and surrounding areas. • Qualified SLT with current professional registration.
• Experience leading teams or services for children and young people.
• Experience in service development and SEND reforms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a friendly team of SLTs and work with teachers and educational psychologists.
• Oversee delivery across mainstream, specialist and statutory pathways.
• Develop and shape service provision for children with complex needs.
• Strengthen communication-friendly practice across settings with SENCOs and schools.
• Contribute to statutory assessments and EHCP-related work where applicable.
• Collaborate with partners across health, social care and education.
