Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Hillingdon mainstream schools team, delivering direct therapy to children with speech, language or communication needs in primary and secondary schools. You will work closely with school staff, train parents, and supervise junior staff.

You will lead on identified audits and service improvements, develop projects, and support safeguarding while contributing to KPIs.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Proven ability to lead projects and supervise junior staff.
• Experience delivering staff training and workshops.
• Experience in auditing or service improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist SLT services to children in mainstream schools (primary and secondary).
• Deliver direct therapy in schools and work with school staff and parents to implement therapy plans.
• Lead on audits, service improvement projects and clinical work streams.
• Supervise and develop junior staff; support team leadership and deputise when needed.
• Ensure safeguarding of vulnerable children and meet KPIs/Target Activity Levels.
