Job summary

NHS Jobs in Greater London is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the Early Years to manage a caseload of children under 5 with speech, language and communication needs, including autism. You will assess, plan and deliver targeted interventions within early years settings.

You will supervise junior staff, support education staff and partner agencies in Newham, lead service improvement work, and participate in audits and pathway development; deputise for the Early Years

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with children and families in early years settings, including autism.
• Writing EHC needs assessment reports and participating in annual reviews.

Responsibilities

• Hold own caseload of children under 5 with speech language and communication needs.
• Supervise junior staff through supervision, competency development and annual appraisal.
• Train education staff and partner agencies within Newham.
• Share team caseloads and allocate work across the team.
• Lead service improvement work, audits and pathway development.
