Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Specialist Practitioner in School Nursing to lead and participate in the Healthy Child Programme, working with children, young people and families across the 0-19 service.

You will collaborate with Local Authority, Early Intervention and Schools to deliver safeguarding and targeted Public Health interventions, mentoring students and staff within the 0-19 team.

Qualifications

• Registered Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner (School Nursing).
• Experience in public health nursing and safeguarding.
• Ability to lead and mentor within a multi‑agency setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the School Nursing core programme.
• Deliver and support Healthy Child Programme activities in collaboration with 0-19 teams.
• Provide supervision and clinical leadership to students and practitioners.
