Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Practitioner to lead and participate in the School Nursing core programme under the Healthy Child Programme, collaborating with children, young people, families and partner agencies.

You will work with the pan Dorset 0-19 CYP Public Health Teams, support safeguarding and the ChatHealth service, and provide supervision and leadership within the 0-19 team.

Qualifications

• Registered Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner School
• Nursing degree/diploma level
• Demonstrate specialist clinical reasoning to assimilate information for clinical judgement
• No sponsorship for Skilled Worker visa (UK)

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the School Nursing core programme under the Healthy Child Programme
• Collaborate with children, young people, families and partner agencies
• Provide specialist advice on management and care of patients/service users
• Devise specialist care programmes for 0–19 team and other professionals
• Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes across settings
• Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and practitioners
• Provide line management and leadership within the 0–19 team
