Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is inviting applications for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - Emergency and Acute Care (Band 8a) at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. The role focuses on leading and developing the pharmacy service for the new GIM ward within the Emergency & Acute Care directorate, with opportunities for independent prescribing and leadership across a large 7-day service.

Qualifications

• Registered with GPhC.
• Post-graduate diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or working towards this or equivalent experience.
• B.Pharm/BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm.
• Qualified as an independent prescriber.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a high standard of medicine optimisation, ideally utilising prescribing skills.
• Work closely with the MDT, on & off the ward.
• Support governance, education and medication safety.
• Line manage staff, providing mentoring and development support.
• Be involved in quality improvement work within EAC and aim to publish findings.
• Work a 7-day pattern with rota-based time off to support work-life balance.
