Job summary

SII Group UK seeks an experienced RF Communications Architect to lead the RF systems definition, design, analysis and delivery within a complex space programme. You will coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure requirements, architecture, procurement, design justification and verification align with milestones.

The role requires strong technical leadership, systems engineering expertise, supplier management and deep knowledge of spaceborne RF architectures across the full project

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline related to RF/space systems.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is advantageous.
• Experience in spaceborne RF architectures and system-level verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead all RF communications activities across the spacecraft programme.
• Report progress, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior Leads.
• Act as primary RF contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Support system-level architecture and RF subsystem integration.
• Define and manage RF-related KID between subsystems.
• Generate RF design justification and verification evidence.
• Produce design descriptions, tests, and interface documents.
• Perform RF analyses to validate baseline designs.
• Generate RF link budgets and assess subsystem performance.
