As a Lead Sourcing Specialist you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.

The Lead Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives with safely execution of which affect short-term and some long-term business goals in accordance to HSE procedures.

As a Lead Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and accountable to ensure safe operation processes and encouraging all team members to adopt HSE excellence culture to their day to day operations.
  • Participate in HSE program and proactively involve in improving HSE Culture in the site.
  • Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
  • Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques; implement purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations.
  • Evaluate current and anticipated requirements, determine potential sources, obtain bids, and plan programs to meet business needs.
  • Provide coordination and leadership in procurement activities for assigned commodities.
  • Responsible for assigned commodities to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Perform continual market analysis and monitor supplier progress.
  • Coordinate training of suppliers to accomplish business initiatives.
  • Coordinate procurement of assigned commodities to meet the requirements of Baker Hughes.
  • Coordinate, help direct, as well as perform, all required functions from initiation of an intent to purchase through to satisfactory delivery of material or services.
  • Ensure On Time Delivery of Parts, Material Movement and Supports Strategic Supplier Developments.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Sourcing). Additional proven years of experience in Buying-Procurement.
