Job description

Lead the forefront of innovative solutions analysis in a dynamic tech environment, driving success through expertise in data analytics and technical program delivery.

As a Business Analyst in the International Private Bank Platform Modernisation programme, you will be responsible for defining the requirements of the solutions working closely with other functional areas such as front office, back office, design, legal, risk and compliance. You will ensure that the developers in the core deliverable squads understand exactly what they need to make the software do, and you will help validate that the software does what is intended and that it has a great user experience.

The International Private Bank is undertaking a major, multi-year, multi-million-dollar transformation initiative. The programme will change almost every part of the platform from back office to front office, in order to deliver a modern solution that enables the business to scale effectively and flexibly. A particular area of focus is our investments platform, which we are re-engineering completely - this covers all major asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, OTC and listed derivatives, structured products and alternatives) as well as associated cash management, Lending and Deposit products.

The private bank has moved to an agile, product-centric model for the delivery of the IPB Platform Modernisation programme, encompassing multiple delivery squads made up of all relevant business functions with the goal of delivering a first-class investments platform.

Job responsibilities
  • Writing user stories, and turning business requirements and expectations into tangible software system requirements
  • Working with users and stakeholders to define, plan, and conduct testing with automation where feasible, and showcasing the output of each sprint
  • Helping each squad as a whole deliver a great solution for our customers
  • Delivering key business functionality, as well as more technically oriented areas of the programme such as data migrations and interfaces to other platform applications.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience in at least one of the major asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, OTC and listed derivatives, structured products or alternatives) - in any part of the lifecycle (e.g. front office, middle office and asset servicing, back office)
  • Experience of an agile, product-centric way of working
  • Excellent communication skills to help everyone in the squad understand what is needed to create solutions
  • Exposure to large scale transformation initiatives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience of Temenos / Transact in an investment context
  • Exposure to Investment Banking landscape, products and regulation
