Support Finastra’s sales force by navigating the customer journey through exceptional thought leadership and hands-on product know-how in the Payments domain. We are looking for a high-energy individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. An ideal Solution Consultant exhibits a can-do approach in a consultative capacity, ensuring that our solutions and services meet and exceed our clients’ needs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provides support to the sales process through delivery of solution demonstrations and providing subject matter expertise in all pre-sales activities.
  2. Develops and updates presentation scripts to stay current with product functionality, value propositions, and strategic differentiators. May maintain and enhance the demonstration environment.
  3. Provides input into bid proposals, projects and documents within the sales process, and may identify additional sales opportunities with existing clients.
  4. Collaborates with sales teams to develop and recommend products and services to meet clients' requirements.
  5. Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and/or services.
  6. May work with development for receipt of software solutions that are ready to go to market.
  7. May build, test, and deploy demo systems to the cloud to be used during the presales process.
  8. Has deep expertise of the local (UK) and regional (EMEA) payments markets.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  1. Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  2. Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including proven presentation skills.
  3. Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work as an individual contributor, manage uncertainty, perform under stress, and accommodate a dynamic work environment.
  4. Self-starting abilities, including the ability to rapidly process complex information into actionable deliverables and proactively engage internal stakeholders for support as needed.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  6. Ability to make optimal split decisions in complex situations; work with clients, prospects, colleagues, and partners in a professional manner.
  7. Preference for proven track record of sales or technical sales support, including end-to-end presales lifecycle (demand generation, supporting RFX responses, Proof of Concept execution, commercial negotiations support, handoff to Delivery).
  8. Proven ability to develop sales strategies (cross/up-sell, value selling) and effectively communicate recommendations to prospects, clients, and management.
  9. Solid technical background including understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project), Salesforce.com, Web-based applications.

Experience Required

  1. 10+ years proven working experience in Business Analysis, Technical Sales, and/or Presales within the Payments domain.
  2. Banking or Financial Technology experience strongly preferred, ideally in Payments solution consultancy/presales.
  3. Proven track record of accomplishments and initiatives with demonstrated, measurable success.
