Job summary

Hiscox in the London Market is seeking a permanent Lead Solution Architect to design scalable, secure technology solutions and align them with Group Technology standards. The role reports to the Head of Architecture and can be based in London or York.

You will bridge business needs and technical delivery, work with development squads, product owners, and vendors, and ensure governance and interoperability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution architecture within insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of application design, integration patterns, and cloud technologies.

• Participate in design reviews and provide guidance.

• Act as a trusted advisor navigating technical challenges and dependencies.
• Liaise with Group Technology and vendors to ensure compliance and interoperability.
• Ensure adherence to architectural governance frameworks.
• Document solution designs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support risk identification and mitigation during delivery.
