Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career and contribute significantly to a leading energy supplier.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading design tasks such as shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Performing simulation of solar PV system performance to optimize energy output.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending improvements for efficiency, quality, or performance.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering and design skills with a proven track record in various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount.
• Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in small wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and willingness to learn new software.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and understanding of CDM responsibilities.
