Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own critical software for the Treasury/ CIO. You will design, implement, and support the Trade Execution Platform, working with Python/Java, AWS and Kubernetes in a fast-paced agile environment.

You will lead the adoption of AI-assisted coding, secure practices, and automated testing while collaborating with non-technical teams to meet business objectives and ensure operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with experience delivering in a commercial setting.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or Java programming languages and frameworks.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot design and functionality issues.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in real-time and handle technical issues with urgency.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develops, enhances and supports the Trade Execution Platform used in trading.
• Executes creative software solutions and debugging across complex problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others’ code.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
