We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Lead Software Engineer - React/UI at JPMorgan Chase, part of the FICC E-TRADING team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. This role involves direct interaction with the front office, building a wide range of UI tools.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems, leveraging internal libraries such as MTK.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software development.
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reports for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of opportunity, respect, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in system design concepts and advanced experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, with familiarity in Redux, Redux Toolkit, and OpenFin.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within disciplines like cloud computing, AI, machine learning, or mobile development.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and testing frameworks such as Playwright.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Java full-stack experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AMPS messaging.
