As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Mansart Fund Management Tech, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for building critical technology solutions across multiple areas to support the firm’s business objectives.

Team Overview:

You will be a front office lead developer within a growing fund management business at JP Morgan. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, structurers, operations, and technologists to scale this business, proactively driving projects and enhancing software directly managed by the team. The platform supports fund customization and infrastructure services for clients in various regulated structures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches
• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve operational stability
• Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies
• Act as front office lead developer within the Mansart technology team
• Own and deliver specific projects within the global program
• Develop platform, automation, and visualization components for the Mansart business

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering; proficient in advanced experience
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Expertise in Python programming
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading an agile delivery team using Scrum methodologies

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Experience working in a front office environment within financial services
